Pride in Engineering (PIE) presents Building Inclusive Futures: A Panel & Networking Event for 2SLGBTQIA+ Professionals in Engineering

Pride in Engineering is a non-profit organization based in Edmonton, with a mission to inspire, support, and connect 2SLGBTQIA+ professionals in engineering. This panel & networking event, titled Building Inclusive Futures, is hosted by Pride in Engineering and sponsored by Matrix Solutions Inc., a Montrose Environmental Company. Building Inclusive Futures aims to highlight the experiences of 2SLGBTQIA+ professionals in engineering, foster connections within members and allies of the community, and provide allies with valuable insights into the queer engineering experience and their role in promoting inclusivity in the field.

This free (or by donation) event will be held at the Fred Pheasey Commons (DICE 8th Floor) at the University of Alberta on September 26, 2024 at 6 pm. Snacks and beverages will be provided. The event is open to all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in engineering and adjacent fields and all allies who wish to learn more about the queer experience in engineering and are curious about their role supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ members in the workplace.

Pride in Engineering is incredibly grateful to Matrix Solutions, a Montrose Environmental Company, for their generous sponsorship of Building Inclusive Futures. Thanks to their support, PIE can create more spaces that celebrate diversity, foster inclusivity, and connect 2SLGBTQIA+ professionals in engineering.
